World’s largest men’s shoe department
Selfridgesis has
opened the world's largest men's shoe department on in its Oxford Street
branch
The department store reveals plans for its latest
ground-breaking retail development a men’s footwear concept,which at over
15,000 square feet and featuring over
250 brands,bespoke brand boutique and a made to order shoe salon which
is the largest men’s show department in the world. with 80 new to the store for
this season alone including Kenzo,Junya Watanabe, Ann Demeulemeester
,Visvlm,Yuketen,Oliver Spencer,and Burberry ,and Giorgio Armani. As for choice, there will be
over 3,200 style of shoes available, with over 72,000 waiting in the stock
room. Better yet, the space will be home to over 120 styles only available in
the store, including some particularly fine lace-up Dries Van Noten wedge
Derbies, Kurt Geiger hiking boots and Alexander McQueen high-tops.
As well as stocking all manner of shoe-related
accoutrements, fans of spiked slippers will be pleased to hear that Christian
Louboutin will be opening its first men's shoe boutique on the floor and, for
the traditionalists among us, an entire room will be dedicated to the classic
driving shoe. However, if buying exclusive designer kicks off the rack is a little
plebeian for your tastes, you're probably going to want to pay a visit to the
made-to-order salon, where you can design your perfect pair from scratch,
courtesy of Church's, Tod's, Tom Ford, Ferragamo, Grenson, Kurt Geiger, Stemar
and Prada..
