Elie Saab Opens Its First Store In Switzerland
ELIE SAAB is opening its first
store in Switzerland, mid-November. The free-standing boutique will be located
in Geneva, at the heart of one its most prestigious luxury shopping districts,
on the Quai Général Guisan
Mr.
Elie Saab, who also has a passion for architecture and interior design, drew on the best of his creative
sensibilities, to personally reflect the ELIE SAAB signature: fusion of simplicity,
luxury and modernism. The works were overseen
by the architect Chakib Richani, who in collaboration with Mr. Elie Saab, has
decorated all of the ELIE SAAB stores worldwide.
The
160m² boutique, spread over two floors, has undergone major renovations but
retained the building’s original façade. Light has been the main source of
inspiration: the space has been sculpted to allow for maximum height and
luminosity, creating an impressive yet welcoming setting. Light beams through
satin glass walls, onto niches and the minimalist furniture the ELIE SAAB
boutiques are renowned for. The only direct light source is the two shopfront arch
windows, overlooking the majestic Lake Leman.
